Are We There Yet?

Holy Canoli! Am I almost done being pregnant? Tyler's ready, I'm ready, and it sure seems like Landon is getting uncomfortable!! No, no... really I have nothing to complain about. My pregnancy has been a dream pregnancy it think the heat has just been getting to me... not to mention my uncontrollable bladder! I'm really getting to be great at maneuvering around our house in the dark, if you know what I mean!
So... my bags are packed, the camera batteries are charged, we've set up the nursery, and we now have chosen our pediatrician. I think we're ready to go...

Trip to Virginia

Tyler and I went to Virginia last August to see a great friend, a girl he baptized on his mission, get sealed! It was such a fun trip. We went with Clark Richardson, his companion at the time she was baptized. We basically spent two days traveling to and from the D.C. temple! It was gorgeous, and it was SO tall! Virginia is a beautiful place, and one that I'm sure Tyler and I will return to often throughout our life!

Tyler Caught Snoogling

Poor, Poor Tyler! I'm wearing him out! This is such a funny picture to me because the pillow that it looks like he wrestled before falling asleep is my "Snoogle." Its the pillow I made him get for me so I could sleep at night when my belly started to need more support. Its the most wonderful pillow and Tyler sometimes makes fun of me because I will carry it around with me wherever I lay down. But, hah, I caught him! I knew he really liked my snoogle deep down!

The Baby Belly

Here is a bit of a belly shot-in the eighth month. This was the weekend of Tyler's Birthday (May 9th) when his family came down and we went jet skiing (we meaning everyone but Joe and I). It was a blast. I am definitely bigger now! It's amazing how a baby can grow so much in a month! It is an awesome experience, but one that I will be waiting a few years before trying again!

Joe Graduated!!

Joe is officially graduated from Obedience and Agility Level 1 on Monday!! He now knows how to sit, lay down, get up, stand up, "front," "swing," come, stay, "scramble" up the "A frame," jump through hoops and over bars, run through tunnels, and can almost do the dog run. Phew! Tyler was a great trainer! I tried but every time I was up for more than 10 minutes I need the restroom! Although Joe was the class clown, always rolling on his back and pawing Tyler during directions, I must say that he was one of the best "stayers" of the class. On the last night of class the dogs and trainers did a relay and it involved "staying." Joe did great... but was then a goof-ball the rest of class. Well, at least he KNOWS lots of tricks... we'll see if he will listen!! (The picture was from the first day of class)

Pre-Landon Days

Since the great 'heir to the throne' has not yet come to claim his future rule, we will feature his Highness' royal nursery in his stead. Be it known that the Great Landon Kirk Huish's face will appear soon enough (we hope)!

What We're Up to Lately

Tyler has been busy improving our home, like usual, since work as a school bus driver ended at the end of May. He has also been on the search for a job that is more along the lines of his business major. He's had great perseverance and I'm glad that he's not just become a depressed couch potato! I love that Tyler is goal oriented. He's an amazing husband and is always willing to serve... even though I am asking for help more and more each day. It's been fun to see him around little kids lately. He's really going to be a terrific dad.

I just switched companies that I work for, but I'm still doing respite and hab for my cousins, Tia and Tyler. It is definitely a rewarding job. I love the closeness I feel with Kevin, Shawnie, Tia, Tyler, and Max!! When I'm not with them I'm usually at home. I'm pretty much a hermit. My favorite social interaction is being with my husband and Joe. Right now I have been working on finishing my application to ASU's nursing school, and everything that goes with that ordeal. I'm really looking forward to my baby shower this Saturday (thanks to my Aunt Debbie and Terry)!! I have been having fun working on Landon's room. It's a great way to pass the time!

Joe is going to obedience and agility school. He's doing great, but he is the class clown. He mostly spends his day moping around the house... probably a mixture of boredom because it's too hot to play outside and our house is pretty small. Poor guy! Joe is growing like crazy!! Right now he looks like Bambi because his legs are so long. He is so dang cute!

Landon has been moving around like crazy. He seems like he's ready to come out, and that's fine with me! Only 3 weeks left and we all can't wait! Folding Landon's little clothes has been so fun. I just can't wait to be able to put him in the little outfits! We have really been blessed as far as help with baby things. My parents purchased Landon's crib, and a sweet woman from Tyler's mission bought us our stroller/car seat and the changing table. Tyler had a baby shower thrown for him at work, and my friend Melissa threw me a shower just recently... and I got a pedicure!! We are so thankful for all the help!

How We Got Started

Tyler and I met when I was a sophomore in high school. We had a mutual friend so we saw each other every now and then. We became closer friends just before his mission and we wrote throughout those two years. About six months before he came home we realized that we wanted to date when he got home. The day after Tyler got home (June 9, 2006) he called me to set up a date for the following day... but of course I could not wait! I invited him to Brenley's (my little sister) dance recital that night, and we've been together ever since!

We were engaged on August 19, 2006 and were married January 5, 2007! We are both going to ASU - Tyler majoring in Marketing, I'm majoring in Nursing - and living in the family housing and loving it. Tyler loves finding new ways to make our home more enjoyable. We got Joe Boxer in January this year, and we found out that I was pregnant this last December! We look forward to Landon Kirk's arrival in the beginning of July!
Our loving dog, Joe Studly Boxer, is an AKC registered purebred boxer (hence the name Joe). We plan on dressing him up as a boxer with a slick robe and Joe Boxer boxer shorts. He'll look great. He about 6 months old now and already weighs almost 50 pounds. He is going to get huge!!!
