Start Your Engines!

I swear! I have gotten on this blog 3 times this week with the intention of writing some amazing post... then I start reading everyone else's amazing posts and there is nothing to be said for the Huishs. So here I am dad-gum-it! I will post if its the last thing I do tonight... which will probably be the case!

Now Where To Start?!

Life at the Huish house has been fun... (most days)! The arrival of Stacie Lynn was cause for an adjusting period but we are loving our little family! Landon has been an amazing big brother! When Stacie cries he goes into protective mode and begins to softly sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." I love him! It is cute to see how big brothers instinctively look after their little sisters! I can't tell you how happy that makes me! Of course he is a three year old and can be quite a stinker! He enjoys pouting (not so fun) and that is what we have the hardest time with. I am sure this is what I deserve though since I was exactly the same way for my parents... as everyone likes to remind me. :)

Landon likes to fill his day enjoying food, art projects, and anything that has to do with Lightening McQueen or Thomas the train! He is a pretty loud kid and is complete with all sorts of sound effects. The other day I sat down to race some cars with him. He leaned back with his head raised to the ceiling and shouted, "Gentlemen Start Your ENGINES!!!!" I rolled the car backward (it is one of those cars you pull back then let go and it zooms away) and he gave me an outraged look and put out his hand to stop my car. "Mom! Start your engine first!" haha I made some sort of revving sound, then waited for him to rev up his other two cars before we could race! I love being with him and am grateful that Stacie still takes 2 naps so I can spend quality time loving on him!

Stacie is basically perfect! If she was a color she would be yellow! I can already tell that she has a big heart! She loves smiling at everyone. She is happy to just lay on her belly and chat to whomever or whatever she is with! She loves laughing at Landon! Today after I finished nursing her Landon was crawling around her changing table playing with the curtains and she was cracking up! She is a busy body and wants to grab everything right out of your hands... and boy is she quick! When she gets really excited or frustrated she spits and vibrates her lips which totally cracks me up!

Tyler is pretty busy with work and our schedules are kind of crazy... and don't always compliment one another, but that just makes us appreciate the time we do get to spend together. :) I appreciate him so much! He is so good at making me feel appreciated and loved!

So, there you have it! I am one lucky duck! I have been blessed with a family that I cherish more than I thought possible! I never thought that it would be so rewarding to be a mom. I am finding that I am most happy when my family is happy doing the things that Heavenly Father has asked us to!
