Sea World Pictures
I was so excited to hold the starfish, but man is that water cold! Brr.... We took a shot underwater with the waterproof camera and the guy that was talking on the microphone about all the sea creatures was in the middle of talking as said something about us putting the camera in the water... then he realized everything was okay and we weren't crazy!
So... while I am in the process of avoiding homework I thought that I would FINALLY update my blog with pictures from the summer... :) Nice? Geez... I'm so far behind but oh well!
This is a trip that Tyler and I took with some really good friends of ours.... Asheli and Kirk Blackburn! :) We went to go visit Kirk and pick him up from Marine camp (sorry if I just said that wrong Asheli) and have a fun weekend at Sea World!! :)

Tyler takes control
I am bored sitting in room BAC 118 of the W.P. Carey School of Business waiting for my class to start in 5 minutes (3:00 pm). I noticed Heather hasn't posted since September. But I know why. . .
She has been so busy - more than me. She has been working so hard each week to bring in a good income, takes Landon every day, and still does all her online classes. Wow she is amazing.
If you all have the time when you read this, please send her an "You're awesome and keep up the good work. Your husband will kick it into gear someday!" message. I know she will like it.
Thanks,
Tyler (the slacker husband)

I'm Back!
It has been so long since I have updated that I am not sure where to begin. Pictures would be nice, I know... I will consider taking some soon! :) It seems like I have been caught in a whirlwind since our move to Queen Creek and still have not caught up with everything. So.... I will start with Landon....
He is now 14 months old! He started walking the day he turned 14 months. I think he is enjoying the independence and so am I! He talks a lot... unless he's in a new situate then he only says "Hi" as he buries his head into my neck. He loves hanging out with Max, our cousin. They can often be found together either laughing for getting into trouble. He loves the Your Baby Can Read movies and every now and then surprises me by reading a word before it is said! I am impressed by him everyday. He is such a sweet little guy and I can tell that he is a special gift from my Heavenly Father.
Tyler is back in school and is enjoying his semester! Hallelujah! He has a class where he is able to apply the marketing strategies that he is learning and his group is number one thus far. He also had been enjoying working at Sherwin Williams!
I, too, am back in school. I am anxious to get my sociology degree done with. My favorite time is when I am at home playing with Landon and cleaning my house! Cleaning and organizing is so therapeutic for me. I also really enjoy going to work, and so does Landon.
Our house is slowly coming along. We have more than half of it painted, as we try to squeeze in home improvement jobs in-between our busy schedules and homework loads. Our cabinets are half stained... so they look like they are going through a 70's makeover... not the best look. Tyler is also been working hard on the baby grand he bought. So far he has sanded it down and stained most of it black. I think he is getting close to bringing it into the house! :) Yea! Then I can park in my garage again! That will be so nice!
We really love our ward! Tyler is teaching Gospel Doctrine and has recently been called as the ward chorister. I have been enjoying leading music in primary. We have made some really good friends!
We recently, the weekend that ASU started, went on a trip to San Diego with another couple from the ward. It was such a funny adventure. My mom came to pick up Landon in the valley, then we were off. Tyler and I drove with Asheli to pick up her husband from this Marine station in California, then barely made it to dinner before the restaurant closed. We ended up sharing a hotel room to cut the cost of the trip and it ended up being very entertaining. We spend the next day at Seaworld enjoying ourselves. Then we came home on Sunday. It was a quick little trip but such a nice get-away!
We are happy and doing well out here in Queen Creek! We miss all of our good friends from Gateway ward, but are excited that we have made friends here too!
As soon as I find pictures from the Seaworld trip I will post them... as well as some pictures from our "still in the process" house.

Our 1 Year Old!
Happy Birthday to our little Lando on the 7th of July!
There are so many things I love about you being one....
Firstly, we have FINALLY turned your seat around so that you can see us as we drive! As a result, for the first time ever we have seen you bring your toes to your mouth (DISGUSTING... but a milestone in itself). So, who knows how long that business has been going on...
I love that you are so adventurous and love to move around
I love that you are learning to communicate how you are feeling
I love that you are more snugly and enjoy giving kisses
I love that we finally made it thought a sacrament meeting with no one having to take you out
I love your social laugh even when you don't have clue what is funny
You are just the greatest little guy! You are a blessing and a challenge. You make me feel needed and accomplished. You have strengthened our family and we love you so much!
At the one year appointment Landon weighed in at a whopping 24.63 pounds... we have now broken through back down to the 70's percentile (about 77 to be exact)! Landon is 29.75 inches long (50th percentile), and his head is 18.25 inches around (50th percentile) for those that keep track of that kind of stuff!
He has many words... mama, dada, joe, hi, bye, ball, done, more, no, yeah, nose, uh-oh
Signs: all-done, more, eat, wave, bye (blowing kisses), I think that about it. He loves to make sound effects especially car noises, and enjoys copying whatever noises other children happen to be making.
He is one smart little guy! :) We couldn't be happier!
Pictures of the Birthday coming soon!
