July Randomness

So July seemed like a very long month!
Here is Lando sporting a winter hat that is too small for him as well as a pull-up (which he absolutely loves... more on that later...) just driving his truck around like no body's business!
Side note.... I think it is fascinating how boys seemed to be wired to understand cars... Whenever we are driving Landon points out other peoples cars... not just by the color or size... the actual model! The other day a white Equinox pulled up next to us and Landon was so excited that there was Mom's car! He's amazing!

We had a fun 4th of July. Landon and I went to the ward breakfast while Tyler was working. We managed to lay low until Landon was walking on the bench of a table and fell between the two... then everyone noticed us! :) Oh man. Once again I believe I'm in the running for Mother of the Year!
Sunday night we got together with Holli and Brenley's families and went out to watch fireworks! Landon learned how to use the camera while we were waiting and proceeded to give himself a photo shoot of his face. Now he loves the camera and always wants to take pictures! Maybe he will have a natural talent! :) Or maybe he is a 2 year old that likes to investigate like all the rest!

Landon's June Faces

Landon has such a funny personality! He has always been a pretty serious little guy but he has some fun faces! Of course I can never catch any on camera but here were a few of his fun faces in June!
Ahh yes... the "cheese" smile... I'm hoping that this one doesn't come out too often when we get our family pictures done soon!

I'm not sure what this is from but this is the face he gives Tyler and me when we ask him to do something that he doesn't want to but knows that he's not going to get away with it.
PS... Please don't judge the kitchen cabinets... they are in the process of being stained... the very long process that has been going on since we moved into our house!

This is where Landon decided to eat his lunch one day! He was so proud of himself it was cracking me up! Despite the fact that we don't like him eating outside the kitchen I let it slide! I just couldn't help it!

He loves accessories... sometimes this makes me worry. It's not just the sunglasses he's into... necklaces... headbands.... the works. I do worry a little that if I have a girl that I'm going to have to do some serious Boy socializing with Lando. For now its fun... He would definitely choose a truck or ball over a headband so I am safe for now I think!

Yes it is True....

Landon is going to be a big brother! I'm pregnant once again! We are very excited! Seeing as how Landon came while we were not trying to get pregnant I thought it would be fun to try and plan this little one.... I decided that January would be the month for us. That would make the birthdays 6 months apart. I figured that if Tyler and I ever had anymore children I would simply fill in the other gaps.... April then October.... we shall see.... at the moment we are thinking we are done! Then believe it or not the planning worked! We got pregnant the week I wanted us to and now we are hoping that this baby doesn't come too early and is born on our anniversary.... or New Years!
Anyway... that's the scoop for now! Just thought I better put it out there before people start wondering why I am putting on the weight!
PS Holy Canoli It is so true (at least for me) that you show sooner earlier! Golly I feel huge!

The Cold sore from ____

Tyler got the worst cold sore ever. A half dollar would barely cover the blistering, scabbing sore that plagues the upper left side of his mouth. I think he got it from one I had on my nose.

Well, when Tyler gets sick, everything gets sick -- his immune system can't keep up. So he first started with the cold sore - attack 1 -- and the immune system was wiped out. In came the flu for a nasty three day blow, and finally a cold that has left a sinus infection and a dried out, cracking nose, bleeding randomly throughout the day.

Sorry, no pictures for this post; I couldn't bare sharing knowing that you may loose your lunch when confusing Tyler's face for an outer-orbit shot of Mars!!!

My First Flowers!

Believe it or not these are the first flowers I have ever received from Tyler!
He is a strong believer in not buying gifts that do not have a long life expectancy!
I was so surprised!
I loved them, loved them, loved them... and then they died. :(

Project: Yard

So fixing up our house has been our on going project this last year. Tyler and I have started SO many projects... and most of them are still in the works! Hence... there haven't been any
pictures of our new house since we moved... Oops!
Well... Here is one of the projects we are getting closer to finishing... the YARD!
We have been blessed with so much help on this project!

Here is Landon hanging out with his Uncle Eric (Ewik). They are great pals!

Tyler striking a pose! ;)

Naturally... Brenley and I were sent off to get more gloves and drinks for Tyler and Eric!

Tyler and Eric digging the trenches for our sprinkler system. Eric and Brenley took of a whole day to come and labor in our yard! They are so amazing! I am inspired by their selfless service!

Landon was just happy to be outside! He is so much like Tyler!

My boys!

Even my wonderful pregnant friend Asheli helped! She's amazing!
So the yard now has a sprinkler system and the concrete has been poured around the area for the grass. Tyler has constructed a big planter box, and will soon begin another one. Landon and I spent one day planting flowers. We put in grass plugs as a family so hopefully... someday... it will start growing! :) Maybe next time SOD! At least we are getting close to the
end of this big project!

Out of Africa

Okay... I know that my blog is sad right now.... The problem is that it was discouraging to log on and see the fun things people were doing and how cute their blogs are and all the cute pictures when I haven't been able to make the time to do any of those things. I figure that I better get back on board with this so that I have it for memory sake! After all... its not that I don't have super cute pictures of our little family! :)

Here is our spring break trip to Out of Africa!

Always a pusher and never the passenger!

Did you know that 1 ostrich egg is the equivalent of 12 dozen chicken eggs?
(At least that's what I think the tour guide said)

Here is Pilgrim the friendly giraffe that we fed! Landon loved this guy!

Getting ready for the Safari Tour ride

Of course we are surrounded by amazing animals and Landon is in love
with the big Tonka Trucks!
We absolutely loved our little African trip!
It was nice to get away and just spend time together. Too often Tyler and I have been just seeing each other in the evenings after work and school. We do our homework then go to bed. We really needed this time to bond as a family! I am grateful that I have been blessed with
two fantastic guys in my life!
